Hello there! How have you guys been? I’ve been occupied with college, work and well, procrastination. I love winters, I love dressing up in snuggly clothes too but the dry skin that accompanies this weather is a deal breaker for me. So today, I will be reviewing the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion, which claims to relieve and protect dry skin. Continue reading to know if this product is worth your buck or not.

Price:  Rs.850 for 354ml

Packaging: The lotion comes in pump bottle, which makes it really easy to use. I loved using this in the morning when I had to rush out the door, it just makes moisturizing my body that much easier.

Consistency: The lotion isn’t too thick or watery; it’s just the right consistency. It gets absorbed quickly and doesn’t require a lot of massaging into the skin.

Fragrance: The product claims to be fragrance free and it totally is. It smells a whole lot of nothing! This makes it suitable for sensitive skin.

Absorption: As I mentioned earlier, the lotion gets absorbed quickly. It does not leave any greasiness behind and leaves your skin feeling soft and supple.

My Experience:

I’ve been using the Cetaphil Restoraderm lotion on a daily basis for months now and was looking for some change. The lotion works, it does hydrate but the one drawback I faced is that, the hydration does not last for long. Especially when I’m in an air-conditioned room, my feet need to be moisturized every few hours. This did not put an end to that.

Aveeno also has a product for very dry skin, which I think would have helped me better. This product can be bought on a discount from Nykaa, since it’s a big bottle and the product lasts for really long, I think it’s affordable.

Let us now sum up the pros and cons:

Pros:

1. Hydrating
2. Pump bottle
3. Suitable for sensitive skin
4. Easily available
5. Non greasy
6. Fast absorbing

Cons:

1. Not for very dry skin
2. Lacks in giving long lasting hydration

Conclusion:

It is a safe choice for people with normal to dry skin or even oily skin, but not for those who’ve really dry, itchy skin.
