Hola! Today I’m going to be talking about one of my all time favourite product, something I swear by and that is, the Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover! This little guy also featured in my Drustore Holy Grail Products list. So, without any further ado, let us get right into what I bought.
Price: Rs.325 for 70ml
Packaging: This makeup remover comes in a plastic bottle with a cap that fits perfectly. There wont be any spillage, which makes it apt for travelling. The dispenser allows you to dispense just the right amount of product.
Consistency: This makeup remover by Maybelline is one of those bi-phased ones, which has a layer of oil on top and you need to shake the bottle well before use. It isn’t too oily or anything of that sort.
Suitability: I don’t experiment a lot with such products since most of the makeup removers tend to sting my eyes like crazy. But this one doesn’t do that at all! It is perfect for sensitive skin.
I’ve been using this product since the last 2-3 years now and have gone through at least 4-5 bottles of it! It removes waterproof products, including my mascara in 2-3 swipes and non-waterproof makeup can come off in just one swipe as well.
It is affordable and has never caused me any breakouts. It does leave a slight oily residue behind which gradually gets absorbed, but I always wash my face after using it and recommend you to do the same.
Although it is meant to remove lip and eye makeup, you can use it on your face as well. It doesn’t dry my skin out like some other cleansing products.
Being a blogger who needs to review products, I’m now trying to find something similar to this by trying out other makeup removers and cleansing waters. Let us now sum up the pros and cons.
- Removes waterproof makeup
- Suitable for sensitive skin and eyes
- Easy to use
- Easily available
- Travel friendly
- Not drying
- A little greasy residue is left behind
- Not available in a bigger packaging
You must give this product a shot if you use waterproof makeup and I’m sure you wont regret it!
