Hola! How are you guys doing? Today, I’m going to talk about Emolene Cream, a product recommended by my dermatologist. I’ve been using this for quite a while now and thought it’s about time I shared it with you all! Let us now jump right into the review.
Price: Rs.209 for 100gms
Packaging: The cream comes in a metallic tube packaging. The screw cap of the tube ends up breaking after regular usage and then using the product becomes difficult. It isn’t travel friendly because of the same reason. I plan to transfer the cream into an empty pump dispenser to make my life easier 😛
Consistency and Fragrance: The consistency of this is thin, not runny but just perfect. It blends into your skin instantly. It has a very subtle fragrance, which is not at all bothersome.
Suitability: The cream is suitable for dry to combination skin. According to me, if you use just the right quantity, even oily skinned beauties will find this stuff amazing. If you’ve sensitive skin, fret not, this won’t break you out or anything.
Moisturization: Even though Emolene is extremely hydrating, it does not make my skin even a bit greasy. You need just a tiny amount to cover your entire face and neck, but if you go overboard with it, it does look a little greasy.
Staying Power: Emolene keeps my face hydrated for a good 6-7 hours. I put it on in the morning and my skin doesn’t feel stretchy or dry the entire day.
My Experience:
I love using this cream first thing in the morning. It helps my makeup glide on easily and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. It is very lightweight and blends in matter of seconds. It is so quick and easy to use. I’m sure it will work brilliantly as a hand and foot cream as well, but since the packaging isn’t up to the mark, it cannot be carried around.

I use Emolene in the morning and the Face Shop Chia Seed Hydrating Cream at night. They’re both working really well for my dry skin. Since you need very little quantity of this, I’m sure it would easily last you for 2-3 months. Propylene Glycol, an important ingredient in this cream, helps in it getting absorbed easily and provides hydration.
It is easily available across chemists and some online pharmacy websites as well. Let us now sum up the pros and cons.
Pros:
- Light weight
- Very hydrating
- Non greasy
- Gets absorbed within seconds
- Long lasting
- For all skin types
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Affordable
Cons:
- Packaging needs improvement
Conclusion:
I suggest all of you to give this a shot! At this price, it is the most affordable yet effective moisturizer available in the market. Just make sure you transfer the product into a pump dispenser to avoid any difficulties later.
Which moisturiser is your favourite? I’m on my second tube of this one! Do you plan on trying out this cream? Let me know all about it in the comments section below.

It was recommended to me by a dermatologist. But, chemists do sell it without a prescription, it’s a simple cream 🙂

At first I thought it is a medicated cream. How does it smell like?

I absolutely love this one! The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s packaging – it’s too runny to be in a tube.
