Summer has already begun in Mumbai and when I came across this product recently, I thought this could be the perfect thing for me! Since I’ve dry skin, I need to moisturize it daily irrespective of the weather and the Nivea Moisturizing Sun Lotion SPF 50 promised to hydrate as well as protect my skin from the harsh sun. As I do not need a heavy-duty moisturizer in the summers, I decided to give this one a shot. Without any further ado, let us move onto the review now.
Price: Rs.495 for 125ml
The consistency of this sun lotion is perfect. It is neither too thick nor too droopy and blends into the skin easily. It has SPF 50 (PA ++ and UVA/UVB protection), which is perfect for the summers. The best part about this product is that, unlike other sunscreens available in the market it offers immediate protection from the sun and need not be used 20 minutes prior to leaving the house.
Since the product claims to be a moisturizer as well as a sunscreen, I expected it to give me medium hydration. But to my surprise, it is really moisturizing and is a boon for dry skinned girls. The moisturization lasts for a good 7-8 hours. I think oily skinned beauties will find this one a little heavy, especially in the summers.
The sunscreen does take a minute or so to get completely absorbed into the skin and after that there is no stickiness felt. A little goes a long way with this product and if you go overboard with it, it will feel a bit greasy till the lotion gets completely absorbed. It isn’t mattifying and gives the skin a dewy finish. It is also water resistant and sweat proof, a must for the upcoming summers.
The packaging is simple and comes with a flip cap opening. I wish it had a pump dispenser since the bottle sometimes disposes more than needed quantity. It has the typical Nivea fragrance, which I love. The fragrance lingers on for a few hours but is very mild and not at all bothering.

Let us sum up the pros and cons now.
Pros:
- SPF 50, PA++
- UVA and UVB protection
- Moisturizing
- Provides immediate protection
- Water resistant and sweat proof
- Non greasy
- Mild fragrance
- Affordable
- Easily available
Cons:
- Not mattifying
- Not for oily skin
Conclusion:
Since this product suffices the need of a sunscreen as well as a moisturizer, it is a must try for people with dry skin.

There was a time I used only Nivea but then it was like to heavy for my oily skin. But as you said it is great for people with dry skin.
Nice review 🙂
