Taking off your makeup after a long tiring day is such a pain, but you gotta do what you gotta do! So I started using the Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover a few months back and haven’t experimented with any other product for taking off my makeup since then!
Recently I spotted the L’oreal Micellar Water, which was quite cheaper than the famous Bioderma Sensibo and hence I decided to give it a go! Read on to find out how it worked for me!
Price: Rs.475 for 95ml
A lot of makeup removers I’ve tried in the past have stung my eyes like crazy but this micellar water by L’oreal did not do that! It is an extremely gentle product and will suit sensitive skin as well!
It comes in a plastic bottle, which is travel friendly since there won’t be any spillage. The bottle gives you enough control over the product.
So all you want after a long day of work is to get off your makeup in a single swipe, this micellar water could remove my foundation, compact, etc with ease but not my waterproof eye makeup! It takes off washable eyeliners and mascaras in a jiffy but when it comes to waterproof products, you need at least 2-3 swipes of this get it all out!
They claim that you don’t need to rinse your face after using this but honestly, I really cannot sleep without washing my face. But if you do not mind that, you can definitely skip rinsing your face since this product will not make your skin feel greasy or anything.
It does not dry out my skin like some of the other makeup removers available in the market! But again, it takes quite some time and efforts to remove your waterproof eye makeup with this product, which is a huge disappointment.

I will continue using the Maybelline Makeup Remover for my eye makeup and this one for my face! Now, let us sum up the pros and cons:
Pros:
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Removes washable makeup with ease
- No rinsing required
- Doesn’t sting the eye
- No fragrance
- Not drying
- Easily available
- Convenient packaging
Cons:
- Very difficult to get off waterproof makeup
Conclusion:
If you use washable makeup on a daily basis, go for this. I do not recommend this for removing waterproof makeup!
Unfortunately, this makeup remover did not live up to my expectations. I hope this review was helpful to some of you! Let me know if there’s any other product you want me to review!

Thanks for your review! If you’re looking for one, my favorite makeup remover is sephora’s brand. It get’s makeup off incredibly easily and is reasonably priced!

Great review! I was thinking of buying this but clearly,I should stay away from it, hahah. I still stick to using baby oil for remobing my eye make-up, especially to get mascara (both waterproof and non-waterproof) off. Works like a charm x
