I love playing with colours and have always been very fond of trying out coloured kajals and eyeliners. We do not really have affordable coloured masacaras available in India and when Lakme launched their Royal Blue mascara, I couldn’t wait to try it out! So today, I’m going to review the Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara in the shade Royal Blue!
The Lakme Eyeconic Mascara is a beautiful shade of blue that can easily add a pop of colour to any boring outfit or a simple makeup look! It definitely stands out, since we’re all hooked onto our regular black mascaras. The colour won’t be that visible with just one coat and you definitely need two coats of this mascara to get some nice colour!
Something I love about this mascara is that it doesn’t clump your lashes even a bit! You can wiggle the wand when you apply the product and it’ll keep your eyelashes separated! The wand is slightly curved since it’s a curling mascara and it is easy to use. The wand can certainly not replace an eyelash curler, but it does curl your lashes to a great extent! It also lengthens them but doesn’t really help in adding volume.
The staying power of the product is impressive as well! It stays on for 6-7 hours easily! I did not notice any flaking or smudging with this mascara! The one thing that disappoints me is that it isn’t waterproof. It is water resistant to some extent though! Unlike some mascaras available in the market, this one doesn’t make your eyelashes feel heavy or stiff!
Let us sum up the pros and cons now:
- Beautiful blue colour
- Curls your lashes well
- No clumping
- Lengthens the eyelashes
- Easily available
- No flaking or smudging
- Doesn’t make your eyelashes feel stiff
- Long lasting
- Not waterproof
- Two coats necessary
- Doesn’t add volume to your lashes
A must try for people who love experimenting with colours. Totally recommend this!
