Hey guys! How’s it going? Is it really cold where you are? Because the temperature here, in Mumbai, doesn’t seem to go below 28 degrees!
I have super dry lips and hence I need to have a lip balm on all the time or else my lips feel just so uncomfortable! So today, in the third and final part of my Winter Skin Care Essentials series, I’m going to discuss a few lip balms, which you could try out this winter!
I’m going to focus on non-tinted lip balms today, as they are meant to prevent your lips from drying and that is what one needs in this season! So let us begin:
- Sebamed Lip Defense:
This lip balm is very moisturizing and will prevent your lips from getting chapped. It also has SPF 30 and hence is a great option to wear throughout the day! I’m on my third tube of this one!
Price: Rs.450 for 4.8gms
- Uriage Bariederm Lip Balm:
I apply this one every night and wake up with well hydrated lips! Although it is on the expensive side, it is totally worth it! It is also something I have on while I write this 😛 I’m on my second tube of this one! Check out the full review here.
Price: Rs.750 for 15ml
- Himalaya Herbals Natural Moisturizing Lip Butter:
This is a heavy and thick lip butter, which will help your lips heal. It will prevent your lips from drying and getting chapped. It is also very affordable! The only thing I dislike about this product is that it has a very strong fragrance of cocoa butter, which I’m not a huge fan of! But if you don’t mind the smell, do give this one a go!
Price: Rs.125 for 10gms
- Boroline Cream:
Ok so this might be a little weird for some of you but boroline works wonders for chapped lips! It is not something you can apply and go out, but you can certainly put it on at night and let it work its magic while you sleep! It is also the cheapest lip balm out there!
Price: Rs.32 for 21gms
- Vaseline Petroleum Jelly:
This is another budget friendly yet effective lip balm! It will hydrate your lips extremely well! Plus this is very multi purpose product; you can use this for your dry skin issues or to cure cracked heels!
Price: Rs.108 for 100ml
- Island Kiss Lip Moisturizer:
If you are on the look out for a tinted lip balm to use this winter, this is the product for you! It has a beautiful colour and will not deprive your lips of any moisture! Check out the full review here.
Price: Rs.500 for 4gms

I have used a whole bunch of lip balms and may have even forgotten all of their names, however my current ones are from Soap & Glory and Burts Bees.. love them.. I also have the most chapped, rough lips not only in winter but throughout the year.. xx
