My Drugstore Holy Grail Products + Mini Reviews

Hey guys! How have you been doing? So today, I’m going to talk about a few beauty and skincare products that are affordable yet effective and thus my favourite! I’m sure many of you have already tried these products, but hopefully this list will help some of you! Let’s begin:

1. Lakme Absolute Shine Eyeliner:

I can safely say that eyeliners are my favourite part of makeup. I just love winging them out! I’ve been using this eyeliner from lakme since a really long time now and don’t plan on giving it up anytime soon! It lasts the entire day and won’t go off until you wash it. It doesn’t smudge at all and has a beautiful finish. The brush provided is perfect for any eyeliner shape that you desire! Definitely my HG product and worth the money!

Price: Rs.350 for 4.5ml

2. Cetaphil Moisturizers:

Having skin as dry as the Sahara has got me trying 3 variants of the cetaphil moisturizer: the regular one, Cetaphil DAM as well as Cetaphil Restoraderm. The last variant is for extremely dry skin and works really well. Though the products have no fragrance or anything fancy but they actually work! I have different variants of these in my bags and everywhere in the house! I don’t think I’m ever going to stop using cetaphil moisturizers!

Price: Different for all variants.

3. Dove Roll-on Deodorant:

So I was using the normal deodorant’s for the longest time, but they would sting! (thanks to my sensitive skin). So, my dermatologist told me to try out roll-on deodorant’s and I began experimenting with the dove one. Though sweat has never really been a major issue for me, but the dove roll-on really kept any of it at bay. I really love the mild smell it has. The only con is that it has alcohol in it, which is said to cause darkening of underarms.Though I’ve been using it for around 6 months and haven’t noticed any darkening as such, I will still give other brands a shot now.

Price: Rs.205 for 45gms

4. Maybelline Turquoise Kajal:

I’ve always been a fan of coloured kajals or eyeliners, as they can really jazz up a dull outfit! And this one by Maybelline is perfect for that! I sometimes use it half way through my lower lash line for that pop of colour and sometimes as an eyeliner. It all depends on how dramatic I’m feeling that day!

Price: Rs.250

5. Bblunt Dry Shampoo:

Not being a morning person didn’t really help me during college and this product is perfect for late risers like me! My scalp gets really oily 2 days post wash and this dry shampoo is great to have your 3rd day hair look all fresh 😛 Since it has a lot of chemicals, I’m now trying to replace it with some baby powder but I always end up using this one on days when I’m terribly late or just too lazy!

Price: Rs.250 for 30ml

6. Garnier BB Cream:

This BB cream by Garnier gives a lovely glow to my face and is just ideal for everyday use. Since it is quite hydrating, it is just right for normal to dry skinned beauties. Even my mom uses this one! Since it is quite affordable you should definitely try it out once. Just set it with some compact if you need to and you’ll be good to go! It also has SPF 24!

Price: Rs.169 for 30gms

7. FabIndia Neem Tulsi Gel Scrub:

This scrub by FabIndia is amazing! It is really refreshing and gentle. The gel formula makes it different from the cream ones commonly available in the market! An in-depth review on this one will be coming up soon!

Price: Rs.350 for 100ml

8. Garnier Fructis Oil-in-Cream:

Out of the many ways to use this one, I personally use it post wash on damp hair and sometimes on 2nd day hair. It doesn’t weigh down my hair even a bit and prevents frizz to a great extent! Though I don’t believe it can replace the good old coconut oil, but since it comes in a smaller packaging for just Rs.35 I think all you lovely girls should definitely give this one a go.

Price: Rs.35 for 50gms

9. Cetaphil Daily Cleanser:

This is the only face wash that doesn’t dry out my skin or make it stretchy! It is something I use every single day. It is best suited for girls with dry and sensitive skin. Even though it is nothing fancy, but it does the job of cleansing your face really well.

Price: Rs.215 for 125ml

10. Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover:

I’ve tried a few makeup removers before and they would just burn my eyes like hell! This one by Maybelline is not so expensive and doesn’t sting at all. I’m on my third bottle and don’t find myself giving it up anytime soon!

Price: Rs.300 for 70ml

Hopefully this list will help you girls! If you do try or have already tried these products, do let me know your experience in the comments section below! See you soon!

  1. I’m currently using the Maybelline Clean Express makeup remover. But I don’t use it for removing face makeup.
How is the Cetaphil cleanser? Does it help in removing makeup effectively?

  2. Nice compilation. Nice blog!
Hmm i am also intensely in love with cetaphil products. Works really really well.
Ill add sebamed products here. Sebamed relief lotion gives baby soft skin.
Ill give a try on bblunt dry shampoo. I was keen on this since a long time. Good that i have a review now.
    Happy blogging!
